Round Times: 10:30; 12:15; 2:00; 3:30
6 SECTIONS:
4 Rated Sections, USCF membership required: Under 300, Under 500, Under 900 and Premier Section for players rated between 900 and 1300. Players may play up one section if within 100 points of the section. Notation is required in U900 and Premier Sections. Unrated and New players wanting a rating can play in the U300 or U500 Sections.
2 Unrated Sections where players rated below 500 may also play. One Unrated Section is for Grades 3 and below; the other Unrated Section is Open to Grades 4 and Above. No memberships required and no rating points received when playing in the Unrated Sections. Sections may be combined at the TD’s discretion.
Entry Fee: Advance entry received by midnight Tuesday, September 11, the cost is $27. Late registration is $32 through Wednesday, September 24. From September 25 until midnight October 2 pay $37. No online registration Friday October 3 or Saturday October 4. Onsite registrations are okay at $40. (At site, register by 9am to be paired for round #1. If later, you may receive a ½ point BYE in Rd #1.) NOTE Special large group pricing: Email chess@championshipchess.net for more information.
Byes: 1/2 Point Byes available only in Rounds 1-3. No byes in Round #4. Byes for Round #1 must be made when you register. Byes for Rounds 2 & 3 made when registering or before Round #1. If you must withdraw early or miss any round for which you don’t have a Bye, you MUST tell the TD as soon as possible, before the pairings are made.
