Registration: $45 through Feb 19.
Late Registration: $75 until Feb 22, 10 AM.

Where: Berkmar High School, 405 Pleasant Hill Rd, Lilburn, GA 30047
When: Sunday, Feb 23, 2025. Arrive by 9:30am
Open to: All K-12 school students within the State of Georgia.
Sections: K-1, K-3, K-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
Format: Five round, US Chess rated, individually paired Swiss System tournament with a time control of 25 minutes per player with a five second time delay (G/25; d5). Unless byes are requested, players will be scheduled to play all five rounds (This is not an elimination tournament).
Rounds: 10am – 12noon – 1:30pm – 3:00pm – 4:30pm. Awards ceremony ASAP after round 5.
Byes: Maximum two, zero-point byes (- unless otherwise adding) are allowed. Please specify when registering. Withdrawals only on game day.
Registration & Payment: Registration: $45 through Feb 19. 14$ US Chess scholastic memberships available online at an additional cost. Late Registration: $75 after Feb 19 until Feb 22. 2024. NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION. To register multiple players click 'add a guest' after completing the form for the first player. This way you can make one payment for all your players.

Awards: - Five best team scores will be counted towards team scores. A team consists of two of more members. Team trophies will be awarded to the top five teams in all sections. Plus score trophy to teams with a plus score that are not ranked in the top 5. Individual trophies will be awarded through 15thplace. There will be NO County Champions. Invitations to the State Tournament will be determined after the event, depending on space at the GA K-12 State Team Championship (scheduled for March 23)
Note: Advanced entry lists will be posted online and will be updated periodically. A final registration list will be posted in the tournament hall by 8:30am. These will show the players, sections, teams, and requested byes. We will pair round one promptly at 9:00am.
Photos: We will be taking photos of the chess players for possible publication on our website. Please email us if you do not want your child's photo used.
