Grand Prix with $850 Guaranteed

Round Times:
10:30; 12:00; 2:00; 3:30
What:
4SS, G/30/d5 in rounds 1-3 and G/45/d5 in round 4.
4 SECTIONS:
There are three SCHOLASTIC: 2 RATED scholastic sections are: Under 800; and Under 1200 for players rated 700-1199. Unrated players wanting to play rated can play in the Under 800 section. There is one Unrated Section for unrated players and players rated below 800 may choose this section. For the Unrated Section, no memberships required and no rating points will be received. There is one OPEN section open to any player. Guaranteed $850 prizes.
Current USCF membership required for ALL Rated Sections.
Byes: Half point byes available only in rounds 1-3, if requested before round 1.
Trophies
: To all plus scores in all Scholastic Sections.
Prizes:
GTD $850 in OPEN section. Prizes increased if over 40 entries.
1st - $200; 2nd - $120; 3rd - $90; 4th - $60; 5th - $30; U1700 $100 - 50; U1400 $100 - 50; Upset Prize: $50
Entry Fee Scholastic Sections:
$20 by Mon., July 21; $25 by Thurs., July 24 midnight; $30 onsite by 9am to be paired.
Entry Fee Open Section:
$30 by Mon., July 21; $35 by Thurs., July 24 midnight; $40 at the door by 9am to be paired.

For K-12 entries, click "K-12 Tournament". In the “Tournament Name” field, enter Scorcher. In the “Section” field, enter the SECTION in which you want to play. Complete your registration including school name and upcoming grade. If this information is not complete, the TD will place you in an appropriate section.
To register and pay in the Open Section click "Non-Scholastic Tournament" and enter a current USCF ID# to be registered for round #1.
