Greater Atlanta Scholastic Chess Tournament
This unrated tournament will be hosted by Atlanta Educational Solutions, 5000 McGinnis Ferry Road - Alpharetta
When:
December 7th, from 8:00am to 3:30pm
Who:
Any student from the age of 10 to high school senior. No membership will be required.
Rounds:
Players will play 4 qualifying games, then at least the top 8 players will play in a final 3 or 4 round tournament. At the completion of the 4th round all players will receive a lunch before the start of the championship rounds
All Games will be G/20
Cost:
$25 for those who register before December 5th, $30 for those who register on the 6th or 7th.
Prizes:
For the tournament winner, a 7” Google Netbook; trophies for the 2nd and 3rd place players and for the top player in each age range (10-12, 13-15, 16 +); additional prizes may be awarded based on the number of entries.
Check in between 8 and 8:30, rules and procedures will be covered starting at 8:45 so the 1st round can start by 9am.
