Championship Chess 15th Thursday Throwdown

Guaranteed $170 in Prizes includes $50 to 1ST

Time: Starts at 6:30pm or take a half point bye in round #1. Most young players take a bye in round #3 as that round could end after 9:30pm. If you are driving in late – call Coach Steve 770-912-7665 to update arrival time.

Rated, 3SS, G/30/d5, with one half-point bye accepted for any round selected before the start of play..

In 2 Sections: Premier and Under 1600. Must have achieved a rating of at least 1500 to play up in the Premier section.
Any unrated player may play in the Under 1600. All players must have a current USCF membership.

REGISTER/PAYMENT: www.championshipchess.net with your credit card Click “Register and Pay - Tournaments”. In the “Tournament Name” field, enter Throwdown #15. Complete the form. Your section, current US Chess ID#, if you need a bye and payment are required to be paired for the 1st round.

COST: $10 by Tuesday, Aug 20th; $12 online Wednesday. Thursday online ok with call to Coach Tim but bring your receipt All phone registrations from 6 – 6:15 to Coach Steve 770-912-7665 are $12 Thursday. If registered and running late call Coach Steve after 6pmto update travel time.
Register after 6:15 and expect 1 st round ½ point bye
Free Entry to players joining the US Chess Federation for the 1st time or joining after an absence of 2 years or more.
Guaranteed cash prizes with more based on additional entries. Every tournament has had increased prizes.
Guaranteed Prize$ Premier - 1st $50, 2nd $25, U-1900 $25.
Guaranteed Prize$ Under 1600 - 1st $25, 2nd $15, U-1300 $15, U-1000/New Unrated $15
