Guaranteed $140 in Prizes
Rated, 3SS, G/30/d5, with one half-point bye accepted for any round selected before the start of play..
In
2 Sections
: Premier and Under 1600. Must have (or had at one time) a rating of at least 1500 to play up in the Premier section.
Any unrated player may play in the Under 1600. All players must have a current USCF membership.
REGISTER/PAYMENT online
: $10 if paid by Monday May 27th then $12 payments accepted online Tuesday and Wednesday May 28th – 29th but MUST be confirmed via phone for our records. $12 payments accepted Thursday at site by 6:15pm or by phone to coach Tim at 770-633-6718.

with your credit card Click “Tournaments” – to register and pay. In the “Tournament Name” field, enter Throwdown #10. Current US Chess ID# and payment are required to be paired for the 1st round. Enter the section in which you will play and if you will need a bye. Register on site after 6pm and you may get a half point bye in round #1. If you are driving in late – call 770-633-6718 to update arrival time.
Round #1 starts at 6:30 and many young players take a bye in round #3 as that round could end after 9:30.
Free Entry to players joining the US Chess Federation for the 1st time or joining after an absence of 2 years or more.
Guaranteed cash prizes with more based on additional entries. Every tournament has had increased prizes.
Guaranteed Prize$ Premier - 1st $30, 2nd $20, U-1900 $20
Guaranteed Prize$ Under 1600 - 1st $25, 2nd $15, U-1300 $15, U-1000/New Unrated $15
