Championship Chess K-12 Scholastic: 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Classic

*this is not a GCA tournament, please register through Championship Chess*

Open to any player in grades 12 and below.

4SS, G/30 in rounds 1 - 3 and G/45 in round 4.

Rounds: 10:30, 12:30, 2:00, 3:30

IN 4 SECTIONS: 3 rated sections, USCF membership required: Under 600, Under 1000 and Open.

Players may play up one section if within 100 points of the section.

There will be one Unrated Section where players rated below 500 may also play. No memberships required and no rating points received when playing in the unrated section.

FEES: Advanced entry received by November 18 is $20, then $25 until Nov 22. After Nov 22nd the fee is $30. Onsite registrations ok at $35.

At site registration by 9am and you will be paired for round #1.  If you register later then you might get a 1/2 point bye in round #1.  Byes available only in rounds 1-3.

Register online at: www.championshipchess.net, click “Tournaments to Register and Pay.” In “School or Event Location” field, type Thanksgiving Classic and your section.

Current USCF ID# required to be paired for Rd. 1, unless playing in unrated section.

Trophies to all players with a plus score. A special team trophy will be awarded to the school with the most points combined in the 3 scholastic rated sections.
