2016 Chess Campout
SCHOLASTIC (K-12) TOURNAMENT

When: Saturday, October 22nd through Sunday, October 23rd
Location: 1442 Richland Rd., SW, Atlanta, GA 30310
Tournament Starts: Saturday, 12:00 p.m.
Camping Ends: Sunday, 11:00 a.m.
This will be a fun rated tournament directed by chess coaches, Mr. Ben Johnson and Mr. Thomas Clem. Players and their families can look forward to a cookout, camping and a guided night nature hike within a 26-acre urban forest preserve (weather permitting).
*There is a 50 participant maximum*
Entry fee deadline: $35.00 by October 19, 2016, www.macpchess.org, no onsite registration
Five Rounds (G/25; d5) – 1st round starts at 12:00pm, 2nd round - 1:15pm, 3rd round - 2:30pm, 4th round -3:45pm, and 5th round-5:00pm
There will be 2 Sections: 600 and over rating, 599 and below rating. US Chess (USCF) membership required www.uschess.org
Prizes- 1st place- $50 & trophy, 2nd and 3rd place trophies for each section.
*Saturday night dinner and a Sunday morning continental breakfast provided*
NOTE: If you are spending the night, please remember to bring your camp gear including a flashlight and a refillable water bottle. Limited tent rentals available for $20.00. Please contact Thomas Clem at machesspartners@gmail.com to reserve tent.
