Rated, 3SS, G/30/d5, with half-point byes accepted for any rounds selected before the start of play. Many players elect a half point bye in the 3rd round to have 2 good rated games, leave early and still have a chance to win.
In 3 Sections: Premier for players rated 1600 or higher, 1000-1599 and Under 1000. Must have a current or past rating within 100 points to play up in the higher section. Unrated players play U1000 to get rating. Current USCF membership required of all players.
GTD Prize$ Premier - 1st $40, 2nd $25, U-1900 $25 GTD Prize$ Section 1000-1600- 1st $30, 2nd $20, U-1400 $20,
U-1200 $20 and the winner gets a free entry to play in one Premier section this summer; Under 1000 Section -Trophies to all Plus scores.
Entry Fee for Players 1000 and ABOVE--$12 if paid online by Wednesday July 1st midnight.

To REGISTER and PAY ONLINE: Go to www.championshipchess.net click " Non Scholastic Tournament.” In the “Tournament Name” field, enter Throwdown. In the “Section” field, enter the SECTION in which you want to play. Complete your registration and pay. If information is not complete, the TD will place you in an appropriate section.
