4TH Annual Championship Chess K-12 Spring Fling

4SS, G/30/d5 in rounds 1 - 3 and G/45/d5 in round 4
Round Times: 10:30; 12:15; 2:00; 3:30
4 SECTIONS: 3 rated sections, USCF membership required: Under 600, 600 - 999 and Premier for players rated 1000 and above. Players may play up one section if ever within 100 points of the section. The official ratings will be as of the March Rating Supplement. One Unrated Section where players rated below 600 may also play. No memberships required and no rating points received when playing in the Unrated Section. New and unrated players wishing to get a rating, play in Under 600.
Entry Fees:
Advance entry received by midnight Wednesday, February 25th the cost is $25
Late registration is $30 through March 4th. After March 4thpay $35. Onsite registrations ok at $35. (At site, register by 9am to be paired for round #1. If later, you might get a 1/2 point bye in Rd #1.) 1/2 Point Byes available only in Rounds 1-3. Please request byes when you register.
Register online at: www.championshipchess.net and click “K-12 Tournaments.” Tournament Name: Spring Fling. Current USCF ID# required to be paired for Rd. 1, unless playing in unrated section.
Trophies to all players with a plus score and two team trophies, sponsored by H2K Infosys, will be awarded to the 2 schools with the most points, based on 5 players combined, in the 3 rated sections. Points are earned by 1 for each point in the Under 600 Section, 1.5 points for each point in the 600- 999 Section and 2 points for each point in the Premier Section. Teams must have at least 4 players registered in the rated sections to be eligible.
$100 top prize in the Premier Section, in addition to the trophies.
