2013 Castle Chess Grand Prix – 100 GPP


When:       June 21–23, or 22–23, 2013


Format:      5-SS; G/120, d/5 (2 day schedule, round 1     G/90, d/5) 


$12,000 in prizes 100% Guaranteed!


Sections & Prizes:    

Master (2200 and up): $2100 – 1250 – 750 – 450;                       U2400: $800 – 500

Expert (2000 – 2199): $750 – 425 – 225

Class A (1800 – 1999): $675 – 375 – 200

Class B (1600 – 1799): $575 – 350 – 175

Class C (1400 – 1599): $500 – 300 – 150

Class D (1200 – 1399): $400 – 250 – 150

Under 1200: $350 – 200 – 100

                  

Official June ratings used. Unofficial ratings used if otherwise unrated. Rated players may play up one section. First prize every section paid on-site. All other prizes mailed by July 1.


Entry fee:  Rated players: $79 if received by June 19; $100 later or at site. Free to GM, IM or USCF 2400.

Unrated players: $50. May enter any section except Master. Unrated may not win over $150 in                     U1200, $200 in D, $250 in C, $300 in B, $350 in A, or $400 in Expert. Balance of any limited prize                        goes to next player(s) in line.


Rounds:   

3 day schedule

8:00pm on June 21; 

1:30pm – 6:30pm on June 22; 

9:00am – 1:30pm on June 23.


2 day schedule

9:30am on June 22, then merges with 3 day schedule.


Half point bye rounds 1 – 4. Limit two. Must commit before playing first game. No changes.

All parking at Emory is in either Fishburne or Peavine parking deck. No parking next to Cox Hall. Please allow time to walk from the deck to Cox Hall (the building with the clock tower.)
