Note:  As the host of this event, there are a few items that NA Warrior Chess needs to make you aware of:

  1. Skittles will be in the cafeteria and the main lobby.  We encourage parents to bring stadium chairs as the seats on the regular cafeteria tables can be rough on your back.  If the weather is good, seating will also be available on the cafeteria patio and the gym patio.
  2. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will parents be allowed to wait in the lobby immediately outside the gym.  Once your player is seated, you will need to return either to the cafeteria/main lobby or the gym patio outside.  There will be other people in the building and we cannot stand in the halls.
  3. Three or four team rooms will be available for rental.  These are standard sized classrooms inside the tournament area.  If your team is interested, please contact NAWarriorChess@gmail.com. Keep in mind that your team will need to be able to keep the noise in the team room to a minimum.
  4. Concessions will be run by the Warbotz Robotics Club.  Items sold will include, but are not limited to: coffee and donuts, chips, fruit, and candy.
  5. This is our home and we would appreciate your assistance in keeping it clean. As such, this will be a Leave No Trace Event.  In a nutshell, that means at the end of the event we should never know that a tournament was held.  Please monitor your space and dispose of trash and clean up spills.
  6. Be a good steward of the environment.  Carpool/rideshare where possible.

Photos: We will be taking photos of the chess players for possible publication on our website. Please email us if you do not want your child's photo used.
