Come Help Your State be Champion!
Open to players in any state. Top 6 player scores (any section) from each state: Al, GA, FL, will be added together to determine the Tri-State Champion, State with most points will be awarded a revolving trophy. Entry fee $60 on or before August 1, 2017 or $65 before September 27, 2017 $10 more onsite free entry to GM or IM $65 deduced from any prize won. Open Section: $600, $300, $150 U/2000 $125, $75
U/1800 Section: $400, $200, $125 U/1600 $100, $50
U/1400 Section: $300, $150, $100 U/1200 $75 U/1000 $50
Unrated players can play in any section; however, they are not eligible for class prizes and are limited to $100 except in Open Section.
Round Times: Saturday 10:00 AM, 1:30, 6:00 Sunday 10:00 AM & 2:30
Onsite registration ends at 9:45. Late entries will get a ½ point bye for round 1. ½ point byes available for any round (limit 2), must request prior to round 2 pairings.
Friday night quick chess: 9/29/2017 - 5 rounds G/15;d3 EF $25 prizes based on entries Round 1 starts at 7 PM.
Saturday Scholastic: Available for grades K-12 - 5SS G/30;d5 1st round at 11:00 AM, 12:00, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 Trophies to top 3 and Top 3 in Grades K-3 Entry Fee $20. USCF membership required, can join at tournament.
