Who: Open to all players 50 years or over by Sept. 20, 2014.
Format: 4-SS, G/100 inc 30 – (100 minutes plus a 30 second per move time increment)
Non-rated 4 SS G/45 d5 (45 minutes with a 5 second delay – one day event)
Sections: Championship, U1800, Unrated (players will be rated after this event), Non-rated (players will not be rated after this event)
NOTE *players may play up a section if published rating is within 100 points of that section*
(current rating may be considered by the TD)
Prizes: (based on 13 entries). Prize money will be mailed out or sent via Paypal after the event, not paid out on site.
Championship: ($300)-$90-$60 - Top Georgia resident will receive a free entry in the Georgia State Championship in May 2015
U1800/Unrated: $80-$60-$30
Non-rated: Plaques for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place.
Entry fee: $55 if received by September 18, or $60 on-site. Non-rated: $25 by September 18, $30 on-site. On-site registration 10:30- 11:30 a.m. (cash or credit, checks on-site)
Rounds: Championship, U1800, Unrated Sat: 12pm - 5:30pm Sun: 10am - 3:30pm
Non-rated: (21 Sept only) 10a-12p-2p-4p.
Byes: One 1⁄2 point bye available any round. Must commit when entering. No changes.
Please note: USCF membership required for players of all rated sections. GCA membership required for GA residents.
All equipment supplied. Players may use their own; however any clock used must have time increment capability and the player providing it must know how to set this function. The first part of Rule 15C will not be in effect - a player in time pressure must still keep score.
